Undersheriff Patrick I. Turturici Undersheriff Patrick Turturici began his law enforcement career with the San Benito County Sheriff's Office as a Correctional officer in 1985. Turturici was promoted to Correctional Sergeant in 1992 with the San Benito County Sheriff's Office. In 1994, he was promoted to Administrative Sergeant. On December 1st, 1995, Turturici was promoted to Lieutenant/Jail Commander. On August 4th, 2003, Turturici was appointed Operations Lieutenant for the Sheriff's Office. Most recently on August 3rd, 2005, he was appointed by Sheriff Curtis J Hill as Undersheriff of San Benito County.

Undersheriff Turturici's duties include directing all phases the operation of the Sheriff's Office; confers frequently with the Sheriff in implementing the goals, policies, work methods and procedures of the Office; confers with and coordinates the activities of the Sheriff Lieutenants and Sergeants in order that the functions of the organization may best meet the overall needs of the office.; assists the Sheriff in planning, developing, and implementing overall office policies, including recommending reorganizations of departmental activities, establishing new operating policies, including recommending reorganizations of office in terms of personnel, programs, and equipment.

Undersheriff Turturici has completed an extensive array of management and professional training courses that include both jail and patrol supervisory and management. He earned a Bachelor of Science, Administration of Justice degree from San Jose State University in 1998.  Undersheriff Turturici earned his master degree in 2007, graduating with honors from Golden Gate University, majoring in Public Administration. Undersheriff Turturici currently sits on the Leadership San Benito Board, San Benito County Emergency Food and Shelter Board; he is a member of the Hollister Downtown Association and the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce, and past Board Member of the United Way of San Benito County.

Undersheriff Turturici was born and raised in Hollister, California and graduated from San Benito High School in 1981, where he lettered in Football, Basketball and Baseball. Undersheriff Turturici has been married to wife Irene for 16 years and has two children Dominic and Felicia.
